• Google Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture
• Facebook Account Information: When you sign in with Facebook, we receive your public profile (name and email address only). We do not request or store any other Facebook data.
• Account Data: Account balances, transaction history, and account names you create
• Bank Connection Data: When linking Bank of America via Plaid, we receive account information through secure Plaid integration (we never store your banking credentials)
• Device Information: Basic device information for troubleshooting

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the FinWise service
• To authenticate your identity and secure your account
• To process deposits and transfers
• To improve and optimize the application
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information:

• Local data storage with encryption

5. Third-Party Integrations

Your data is stored locally on your computer in an encrypted JSON file at:

~/.FinWise/bank_data.json

We do not maintain servers or upload your data to external services (except through Plaid for bank connections).

• Access: You can access all your data stored in the app
• Delete: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time
• Export: You can export your data in standard formats

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of major changes by updating the "Last Updated" date.
